Frank Martin took his young, not very talented team in there Saturday and got a win. If you read these boards you would think Martin was legally ******** so if McDermott and his staff can't go in there and get a win that would be disappointing.
I've already told the guys in my block that if we lose to CU my ticket is available the rest of the year. I'll be done.
Is this game going to be available here in the DES moines area? Maybe mediacom connections will pick it up
It's at CU and it seems, the worse the CU team is, the greater the chances we have to losing to 'em out there.
Don't like it at all - coming off a tough loss at home that "ruined" a fantastic game for Brackins - sandwiched between a tough home game against OU.
I think we've won just 2 or 3 times at CU since the Big 12 was formed. None of that really relates to this team - but it is a habit we can't seem to kick.
Should we win? Of course. Will we, is a completely different question.
Just an FYI, that there is a pre-game Alumni Event at the Bar across the street from the Coors Events Center.
As for the Buffs, their guards are OK and are starting to play better. Don't be surprised if Cory Higgins shoots 10 free-throws or more. CU has no size to speak of and Brackins could have another huge night.
As someone else pointed out, the Buffs will play a fair amount of zone with some man2man sprinkled in. They have been switching defenses a lot which seems to slow the game down which is good for CU.
Every year I LOL at those that think at Colorado should be marked as a W. Heck...KU didn't even play that great there. They should have won by 30 over this CU team and it was a 6-12 pt game for the majority.
At best, we have a 50-50 chance of winning this game given recent history. If our outside shot is off again, we will lose.
I'm predicting a victory. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
