Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
good point, i'd say that as far as basketball goes ISU and KU have been considered a rivalry since the fizer days but it's not harsh enough that you can't be a fan of both although i'm not a huge KU fan myself. some ku fan at the big 12 tourny last year came up to me and some friends and were asking us why any Iowa State fans would come because our team was so horrible or something like that and we're like dude, we don't even know you go get a life. i don't think they'd say that to a team that they didn't have some sort of rivalry with. i've had plenty other similar experiences with ku fans with close relatives living in lawrence but overall they have good fans it's just some of them **** me off.

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
I might as well clear this up:
I am an ISU fan, regardless of what you all think. I am probably a bit more of a KU fan, as you all have figured out. I never tried to hide that fact. But I am here because I truly am a fan of in ISU athletics. I went to 5 ISU football games this year despite living 4 hours away from Ames. I've watched every basketball game that's been on TV here.
I only post stuff relating to KU when someone else brings it up or when I it relates to the topic being discussed. Despite what you may think, I'm not on here to gloat or to look down on ISU. You can go back and look at my posts, but I don't think I've ever started a thread about a win KU had or a recruit KU got, not even about a national championship.
My post earlier that said "you ISU fans" was meant as a joke. It's hard to indicate sarcasm in text, I guess. I figured you all would be happy to have some new material to criticize KU about, but instead everyone jumped down my throat for an insignificant, silly part in that post.
So I guess you can welcome me or not. It doesn't really matter. I'm still going to be an ISU fan, even if you tell me I can't be. (although telling someone that they can't be a fan of something is a little ridiculous, don't you think?)
Maybe this would go over better if it weren't so close to the KU game.

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
After watching Oklahoma and Oklahoma State last night Harrison Barnes as a freshman ain't gonna help much against those studs. They are Big, mature and strong. Harrison has alot of growing up to do to compete with those "MEN!" Kansas has less maturity on the floor than either of those Oklahoma schools.

For PF's and Centers I will agree with you but Barnes will play the wing and it doesn't take quite the body to contribute. Look at Clark or that guy that shall not be named as evidence. A long quick guy can really help on the offensive end.

How do you know?

Maybe this would go over better if it weren't so close to the KU game. KU was actually poking a little fun at the Jayhawk's trackrecord of employing parents of top recruits. Amazing how there can be 3 pages of bickering if everything is not completely spelled out or the "sarcasm pirate" is not used. Use your melons people. I am not a smart man, but I did understand that KU"s post was meant to be, and actually was funny. And just so there is no confusion, I hate Kansas. Not as much as Iowa or Nebraska. But they are in the same coversation.

Although, you don't take nearly the amount of people with MBB, so who knows

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
From all the things I've heard/ seen about Brackins, I feel that he is a classy young man who brings nothing but good to the team. Good work ethic, commitment, and a clean record seems to be a hard thing to find in a standout basketball player. I'm glad to see that we have that in Brackins.

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
What else was he going to say on the way to a game?
I have heard and still believe my sources that say we will not have him next year.
If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team. -

Kid likes Coldstone Creamery. How bad could he be?
