Since I know a few of the women's players read the site, help keep him here Kelsey -
Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
Good to hear. Hopefully he doesn't Chiz us.

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
“I’ve always told myself I have to be here as long as I have to,” Brackins said. “It’s four years, so that’s how long I think I’ll be here.”
I had to read that about 5 times, just to make sure. I sure hope he sticks with us!
Keyword being, "think."

How firmly entrenched is he?

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
I think he would be crazy to stay all 4 years. At the pace he is going right now he will probably be a top 10 pick next year. Although, I wouldn't complain if stayed all 4 years.

I hope his teammates help him really soon.

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
Why would it be crazy to stay all four years? Sure he could leave for the NBA and maybe make a good amount of money... but he could stay and help build something special in Ames. If he is here for his 4th year... and we can nab a certain someone from Ames HS, you can bet will will be a contender in the Big 12 and NCAA tournament. We will still be competitive next year, especially with Gilstrap, Colvin, Pomlee joining the ranks.
I hope Craig Brackins' goal is an NCAA Championship.

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
He's playing better right now than Fizer did as a sophmore.
If he does stick around and we get some more production out of some of the other player and newcomers, we could really be a wicked team. -

I hope Craig Brackins' goal is an NCAA Championship. I agree with every thing you say here. We would be a very scary team if he stayed all 4 years and we got HB. I hope your right and his goal is an NCAA Championship.

Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
I'd say at this point he is close to working himself to a lottery pick this year. It takes the websites a bit longer to fully adjust themselves to what the pro scouts feeding them info say. I'd say in another week or so, we'll see the jump in the rankings this year. It doesn't mean he goes, but it will be more enticing than what this article states.
Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town' -
Re: Brackins says he is here to stay.
Good to hear, but I'm not holding my breath. I've been conditionally trained as a Cyclone fan to expect bad news at every turn.
