Guards will break out of their slump tonight
Colorado will probably run zone all game long. With Brackins coming off a 42 point game, you know that the Buffs are going to collapse on him whenever he gets the ball down low. As long as he keeps making his reads, Lucca and co will get a lot of open looks tonight. It is just what the doctor ordered to help them break their recent slump
I would like to see us put Brackins at the free throw line a lot tonight, and hopefully he does a nice job of finding the shooters outside, or finding Hamilton down low. I really think we can win tonight with Brackins only scoring 12 points and I don't think I have ever thought that

But, something that was glossed over Saturday were his free-throws. Great effort at the line from him and I hope that continues.

If our guards hit the open looks, we will win.
If our guards clank the open looks, we're in trouble.
Sums up pretty much any game for us honestly. Brackins can't completely carry us to victory.

Re: Guards will break out of their slump tonight
Petey can hit open shots if he gets going or Lucca does it will be a good game for the Cyclones. Does Colorado have anyone to defend the 2 bigs, plus JVB. Ham and JVB could have huge nights also.

It's no secret that Lucca needs to get started on a positive note - otherwise things go badly for him.
I'd contend that his night would've been very different had that first made shot not been illegitimate because he stepped out.
Certainly something he needs to work on.

Certainly something he needs to work on. Yeah, that was a really unfortunate start for him. I mean come on, do you really have to discount the basket because he stepped on the OB line? Technically that just means he was further from the basket, so I contend it should've been worth 4 points. -

Re: Guards will break out of their slump tonight
Something else that will help our guards perform better tonight is the fact that CU sucks balls.

This will be a game between two not very good teams. It sure won't be pretty.

There will certainly be lots of ball sucking going on tonight. And with that, mayhaps it's a good thing this one won't be seen by very many people. Originally Posted by IcSyU Famous last words Right. How has SDSU been doing?
