You sound like a hawkeye fan. High on the team when things go well, and don't want to be associated with the program when you're not.

It is easy to judge in hindsight, but I don't think I've ever disagreed with a choice he's made at the time he's made it.

Season ticket sales higher than they ever have been under any other AD.
Increasing the Athletic Budget by 50%.
Those are just a few. The groundwork is laid...now its time for his coaches to win a few games.

Re: Pollard
Hold on, it is tough to blame JP for what is going on. At the time he made some of these decisions we were all excited.
1. He hired Chizdik, which we were all excited about because we thought he would be able to bring better players in and take ISU to the next level.
2. He brought Mcd in who was one of the hottest coaches in America when he was hired. Mizzou wanted him, KSU wanted him and we got him.
3. He has set season ticket sales records for football even when ISU is winning 2-3 games a year.
4. When Chizdik jumped ship he went out and found a good coach that WANTS to be here and appears to be putting together a good staff (not hiring his buddies) and is putting together a nice recruiting class.
I think JP is doing everything he can - but just because the coaches that he has brought in have not panned out or the players have not developed, i don't think you can throw JP under the bus. He is doing everything that we want from him.

I watch every game and wear my ISU gear pretty much every day. please know what you are talking about before you spout off.
you are right though, he has done good things with facilities. unfortunately, he hasn't done the most important thing, put winning teams inside of them. Posted via Mobile Device -

Those are just a few. The groundwork is laid...now its time for his coaches to win a few games. And those are the things that will allow him to keep his job. PR is his big hire, if he wins quickly, JP is saved, if not, it is going to be ugly.
Basketball is not going to matter all that much. Donors do not care about it. Everything keys around how the football program is doing.

What's up snowcraig, you seem kinda down, it's not like you....

The bottom line is that you guys should stop starting these threads that pound the people trying to make our athletics department better. If it bothers you that much go lock yourself in a closet and cry yourself to sleep.
