I wake up this morning guessing isu won last night..And then i wake up get on cyclones.com and i see we lost....WTF HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????

What on earth would make you guess ISU won? Even if we were up by 30 at halftime and you went to bed, you should still wake up guessing we blew it.

I didn't go through all the meltdown threads, but I did see discussion on DG's play, turnovers, fire mac, pollard.

What really pisses me off...This team refuses to step on opponent's throat and just be done with them. How many chances do you need to finish a team off?

Stepping on a team's throat would infer we had control of the game at some point last night.

I do not believe that we did.

Opportunities to take control and having control are two very, very different things.

That they are. I think the frustrating part of this is that we could have taken that game over. Colorado (like some other teams) tried to give us this one, and we don't have that instinct to take it from them like we should.

I'm refering to being up 4 to 6 points getting a couple stops but not taking advantage...happened the whole game.

But that's not having control of the game. It's being on the cusp of it and squandering it. Again and again and again and again...

Stupid TOs and poor guard play killed us. We could have pulled away several times but we would instead make unforced TOs to keep them in the game. We simply can't win in the Big 12 conference without improving our guard play.

always the optimist, I went to bed at 10 (early meeting this morning), but set my alarm for midnight so I could see the result. Obviously disheartening. I keep telling myself to move on and not care so damn much, but everytime a game comes around it happens again.

Our guard problems boil down to this:

Other than Mike Taylor, Dodie Dunson is still the best guard Gmac has recruited at Iowa State, and he is playing at Bradley.

Petey is playing the best on our team right now, and all he is doing is playing like a smart, solid walk-on.
