20 years ago all the teams had jrs and srs today hardly anyone does you need to play right aways especially on a talent poor team.

Lucca can shoot with a hand in his face. That is maybe the most impressive thing about his game.

I haven't noticed him having trouble getting it off. He is just too busy thinking about whatever and is missing them. He is apparently money in practice. So, yes it's low, but it is also quick. It should get higher as he gets stronger, as well.

I think a lot of that is due to the fact that NOBODY on our team can get to the rack except DG, and he can't bc everyone dares him to shoot. Lucca has made some difficult contested threes this year. We just need some more pieces to the offensive puzzle to make it tougher on defenses to be in his face all the time.

or the fact that our offense has absolutely no movement...

I think a huge part of Mac's offense is a guard that can get to the rim and make plays. Also to have the guards that can hit open shots that are created from this.

McD is going to help this program, granted there have been many set backs and I know how impatient cyclone fans are about getting Hilton back to when it is one of the most feared venues to play in the big 12 and the country for that matter. Lets let greg finish his contract and give him the time he needs to build this program back up again.

What this team really needs is a point guard. You got to be kidding me if you think DG is a prize recruit. Can't finish at the rim, ball control is not there as well, and can't shoot. If we had a threat to penetrate and kick the ball out then possibly the shooters could get better looks at the basket. If you dont agree maybe you should watch other teams play. The talent is just not there. Mostly other teams are doing it, and even with freshmen. Not trying to beat on DG but he is a reserve at best as well as most of the past two years of recruits besides CB. Lucca can play but would greatly benefit from more open looks. Just don't see much hope for the future at this point

In practice he is playing against ISU...don't you know that everyone is "money" against ISU?

High School to D1 College and the Big 12 is a major change. You can not judge these kids half way through there freshman year. These kids are still learning and growing into players in a major B-ball conference. I think Coach McDermott knows what he is doing, it just takes time.

We have beaten torched by enough freshmen and sophmores on other teams to know that this is nothing more than another excuse...

No, and i see what your saying, im saying give him time, support and in another two years we will know for sure. Its too early to tell. This is a long process and a bumpy road.
