Sorry if this has been posted already, but I haven't seen it yet.

CB getting a lot of love from coach Bill Self.....mentioned him as almost a hybrid between Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley. Also mentioned that it might have been the best individual performance he's seen put on against one of his teams. That's some pretty darn high-praise from a guy that just won the National Championship.

I love CB - imagine this team without him? Who recruited him anyway?

Bill Self praised Brackins so much because KU beat the snot out of ISU. You wouldn't have heard so many positive adjectives from Self if KU had lost.

Self may also see it as a chance to market Craig to the NBA, which could result in him leaving after this year, which could reduce our chances of landing HB, thus increasing Self's chance at HB

Self is not like that. He said what he said because he meant it. CB played a great game against them and he praised him. Plain and simple. Too much conspiracy theory for me on this.

I agree. He seems like a much classier act (although we all know that something is coming about Chalmers dad being hired). I respect him for the straight-forward answers I usually hear from him.

Self is a slime ball and can't be trusted, he he is working an angle to get CB out of Ames.

Sounds like Self is just doing some legwork now for next year- getting rid of CB. Sorry Billy-boy, not going to happen!

10 posts in and there is already a lot of wackiness in this thread.

Self, if anything, doesn't want to play the 10 games he has to play versus the terrible Big 12 north against a bunch of patsies like every other year. If anything, he would want everyone to come back to prepare his team for the tournament.

Self wants what is good for the conference because that is what is good for his team.

Trying to tie positive comments about Craig Brackins into some sort of scheme to get Harrison Barnes is utterly ridiculous; a truly incredible leap.
