A lesson from Joe Dirt....
I've been kind of bored tonight (obviously), so I watched Joe Dirt again (great comedy for anyone that hasn't seen it) and was reminded of the current situation around our MBB team when I heard the following quotes...... To Joe Dirt from Radio Host (Dennis Miller): "You are an underachievement nexus in the universe. It'll always be like this, Joey." Joe Dirt's Response: "But you got to keep going. I won't quit. That's not an option. You gotta keep on keeping on. Life's a garden, dig it, make it work for you. You never give up, man. That's my philosophy. You hear that?"
-The 1st quote reminded me of some of the nancy's around here claiming most of our players & coaches are not worthy of being in the Big XII and they will never achieve. -I hope the 2nd quote encompasses our coach's and team's attitudes moving forward. They just need to keep pressing on and good things will come - there's really no other option. As long as they keep working hard and believe in each other, good things will eventually come. ------------------------------------------
I'm just throwin' this quote in for fun - couldn't resist....... Joe Dirt to Kicking Wing (Joe's Indian buddy who owns a fireworks stand:) "Come on.... You don't got no ladyfingers, buzz bottles, snicker bombs... ...church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zippedy-doodas, crap flappers?" Kicking Wing's Response: No, I don't. Joe Dirt (again): You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand... ...and say you have no whistling bungholes... ...spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, Hüsker Düs - Hüsker don'ts. Cherry bombs, nipsy dazers, with or without the scooter stick......or one single whistling kitty-chaser? Okay, probably time for bed now that I've posted this masterpiece. Darn internet anyway. - “I’m not a spin my wheels type of guy." - Coach Paul Rhoads -

My favorite lines:
"It's just an old crapper tank folks!"
"See the peanut, dead giveaway.
That's a space peanut."

Something about Spade...I am sure many are turned off by his sarcasm but I find him to be hilarious! As for Lost Dog...any movie with Sophie Marceau in it...I will stop flipping the channels just to look at her!

Joe Dirt is a pretty fun flick. The scenes with Jamie Pressley are great.

You're my sister
I even hate to admit it, but I thought Dickie Roberts, Former Child Star was pretty good as well.

Sorry about that. It is more of a romantic comedy...but Spade is as sarcastic as ever! Again...with Sophie Marceau in it...that is all I need to enjoy the film.
