"Your" All ISU Men's Basketball Team

Leave the statistics and arguments for a different thread - who do you put on your Iowa State All Men's Basketball team and who are they coached by?

These players may not be the best statistically at their position compared to others, it may be who you grew up watching or enjoyed watching the most.

Here's what I got:

PG: Jamaal Tinsley (Reserve- Dedric Willoughby)
SG: Fred Hoiberg (Reserve- Justus Thigpen)
SF: Jeff Grayer (Reserve- Barry Stevens)
PF: Marcus Fizer (Reserve- Craig Brackins)
C: Loren Meyer (Reserve- Victor Alexander)

Head Coach: Larry Eustachy
Assistant Coach: Tim Floyd

I love these threads.. i really do.

I also love that they usually consist of only 90's and 00's rosters for ALL-TIME teams.

All you need to do, is look up in Hilton.. That is my ALL TIME team.

I don't know that you can say better. Vic is the 4th all time leading scorer, most of that done in his final 3 years. He wasn't the shot blocker that Cato was, but I don't think you can say that Cato was clearly better. Cato didn't have near the offensive game that Vic did.

I can and will. You're telling me if you made a team today, you'd take Vic over Cato? I loved Vic, was a fat kid's dream. But Cato was a way better athlete.

fwiw, i think Vic was a much better center than Kelvin. He scored more, and played great power defense. Kelvin blocked shots, but wasn't really much for pushing people out of the lane.
