At Least we did not hire Jeff Lebo
He was the front runner before Wayne got the job. Basically he said no to us. Steve Deace even had him at 90% chance that he was going to be our coach. Lebo's best year so far is this year at 13-7. Every other year he has either had a losing record or a bad year. Usually losing records. So basically Auburn needs to quit trying to get our scrubs. That means you to Chizik

Look at the great list of coaches that Vande Velde put together as replacements for LE.
Jeff Lebo - 57-64 at Auburn
Steve McClain - fired from Wyoming in 2006
Morgan - not coaching anywhere now
Ray Lopes - Fired at Fresno State in 2006 after NCAA violations

yes...let us bring back that goof as soon as possible. Yet, you will find people on this board that would agree to that.
Miller of Marty and Miller has also advocated this. What an idiot.

I REALLY wonder why?

I REALLY wonder why? He doesn't need to. Making plenty of money and gets to spend a ton of time with his family... Plus, he was pretty burned out over being fired for no real reason...

When you get fired twice as a head coach, not a lot of schools are going to come calling. And rightfully so

Actually the real reason is that firing looks very bad...If a given coach does not get back into coaching immediately, they get pushed aside and are no longer part of the coaching loop. Head coaches are constantly getting resumes from anybody and everybody.

Wayne did better than McD has done so far from a record standpoint in about the same number of games. If it is about wins, it is a no brainer.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

However, the cupboard wasn't bare for Morgan when he started...

He was hired so we wouldn't lose our recruiting class, and we wouldn't have major turnover...to his credit, he retained most all of Larry's players...but he had a HUGE advantage in having a built-in relationship with every single one them.
Kinda like Frank Martin was hired to so Beasley, Walker, and Pullen would stay on.

Miller of Marty and Miller has also advocated this. What an idiot. Anyone who would even be warm to the idea of bringing that dolt back never met him or clearly does not understand anything about business. That dude was so far out of his eliment. -
Re: At Least we did not hire Jeff Lebo
It's easy to win games with you have 2 near NBA guards starting for you (Blalock and Stinson) who were arguably one of if not the best backcourt in the Big 12 . Kinda makes you wonder why he couldn't make it to the big dance more than once and why the team went backwards as the guards got older and better, doesn't it?
I guess if Auburn got our retreads, we got Long Beach State's, or wherever Wayne was fired from first?
