I would like to add Osborne to that list. I cant think of his first name but he played for Colorado a few years back and I just remember sitting in the student section and he was always wearing tall socks and a head band and had long hair and he just acted like he was really cocky, even though he wasn't all that good. He was just pretty scrappy and would take a charge that was actually a flop.

I was gonna say that but then I forgot about Longar Longar (sp?) from OU. Just always annoying to hear his name from the commentators cuz they would say and Longar hits the layup...but was he calling him by his first or last name?:eek:

There was a Walls from Colorado, too, that seemed to have career games against us. Very thin guard who didn't usually score, well at least against other teams.

I hated Jason Sutherland. Didn't care for Andrew Gooden either. There was another player from OSU whose name I can't remember (big solid black guy), whose name I can't remember who I thought was a dirty player back in the day.

I'm surprised to see a lot of people mention Greg Ostertag. I think he was good friends with Fred Hoiberg off the court and always seemed very complimentary of ISU in post-game interviews and such. The same can be said of Jacque Vaughan.

I have to agree with all the hate for Sutherland....didn't he have a couple of cheap shot episodes that got him in some real trouble.

Also....surprised to not to see any mention of Sean Sutton....aka the weasel. He always seemed to get under people's skin

That was my first thought. Andy Osborne, what a ******. He was pretty insignificant for the most part, but that game where he riled up the student section with gestures is what got him on my **** list. But it was fun being there in person the next year we played them in Hilton when we beat the begeezus out of them, had a huge lead and he didn't score until garbage time and the student section chanted him all night mercilessly.

You're thinking of Byron Houston. No need to worry about him now, because he's currently serving a four year prison sentence...

The Harrison brothers from CU are up there on my list but the 1 guy I really hated was Tim Heskett of Oklahoma. That guy was dirty and a punk. Horton and him bumped heads once, both went down but I think it knocked Heskett out for a few seconds and rung his bell. The Hilton crowd politely clapped as they walked him off the floor (after we had basically booed and razzed him all game) and he proceeds to flip off the student section right before he sat down. Needless to say that got the students chanting "put in Heskett" later on because we wanted to let him know what we thought of his "you're #1" signal to us.
