I can hope, but that's about it. Hope is good enough right now. Expecting will come once we get consistent, and play up to our potential.
I won't fault you for "stopping" at hope. That's perfectly rational.

Yes, but there's a difference between someone who can, and someone who does, at least consistently. And DG indubitably can, which was the original point. I'll just hope (and expect) that his consistency improves.

However, this potential is frequently not lived up to thus far.
ISUAlum2002 was hammered quickly by a few of you, claiming he didn't watch the game today - in response to his comment about needing guys to drive the lane.
Well, it happened today, as ya'll pointed out. My point is, that's been the exception, not the rue. Assuming it will just continue to happen now that it did in one game would be a bit naive.
I am hopeful.

I love what DG did today, but OU pretty much let him go just about wherever he wanted to as well.

I said earlier it looked like he had another gear today, he just looked faster and he played a lot more loose. He was really breaking guys down off the dribble but there were times he got a screen and literally nobody came at him until he was already at the rim. I want to see what happens when teams decide to defend him the same way they have been the last few weeks is all.

Re: Next 4 Games (schedule gets easier)
K State will probably limit us to 55 points with their tough defense....
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

I am hopeful. This is what I was getting at. We've seen a lot of exceptions this season, but those exceptions very seldom seem to turn into the rule. I'm not expecting that type of aggressiveness to continue, although I hope it does.

4 wins - unrealistic imo, achieved only by bringing our A game every night which won't happen (again imo)
3 wins - would be awesome, maybe possible but would be a surprise
2 wins - about what should be expected, we shouldn't lose to colorado no matter what and we will win one of the other games if diante shows up
1 win - dissapointing and shouldn't happen
0 wins - will not happen imo 1 win vs. CU at home. KSU looked outstanding against UT yesterday. Mizzou has enough athletes to take care of ISU in Ames. I think ISU has won what, once in 20+ years at Gallagher-IBA?

Re: Next 4 Games (schedule gets easier)
Mizzou is a jackel and hyde type team. Play great at home and struggle on the road. If kNu can dispose of Missou at home so can we. I wouldn't be shocked if we beat them and wouldn't be surprised if we didn't.

Great point!!!!! Anything can happen, like next year.

Re: Next 4 Games (schedule gets easier)
Iowa State showed that they wanted that game against Oklahoma, unlike the previous at Colorado. Let's see if they come out with a "want to win it" attitude in games that aren't against the #4 ranked team.
