How athletic are Gilstrap and Pomlee

This team lacks that freaky good athlete. Dont get me wrong I like what our players bring and do (well for the most part) but it seems there isnt that raw non coached up athletic player on this team. Just wondering what Pamlee and Gilstrap will bring in that reguard to this team next year.

We aren't athletic at all, compared to other Big 12 teams. I think these two guys will help out tremendously. I'm surprised LA redshirted this year, to be honest. I guess with Mann already sitting on the bench not getting minutes, you don't need another freshman sitting next to him.

I dont know about Pamlee, but Pomlee is supposed to be pretty athletic.:jimlad:

There are still times that I wish we could throw Pamlee out there this year. Guy is supposed to be a stopper on defense.

Worthwhile point but I'm sure it was a call made earlier and I'd be ticked if someone burned my redshirt for a half season.

Its fine, I was just giving you a tough time. Pomlee did win a dunk contest during the Iowa-Illinois all star game though, so he's got to be pretty athletic.

At this point there is no use to burn it. There are a couple other freshman that should have been redshirted looking back.

It won't hurt to have a 6'8" 240 lb athletic player in addition to Gilstrap and Colvin. Next year, we lose Haluska, Petey, and Thompson. With no disrespect meant towards those guys, I believe Chistopherson, Pomlee, Gilstrap and Colvin bring a whole lot more athletic ability and talent to the table. This teams needs an upgrade in talent and I think we are going to get that next season over what we have now. As long as we continue to increase our talent, the wins will come.

Dont forget Buck will see more mins. I was wondering today why not put him and DG on the court at the sametime this year?

Since only 2 guards have shown the abality to hit 3s in Big 12 play why not give Buck a shot at it.

Maybe he doesn't hit 3s in practice.
