If you'd like an argument, I'd simply say that I find it astounding that some of you want to blame Mac for the players who have left (including Wesley) simply because the head coach is "responsible", but refuse to apply the same principle to recruiting. A little inconsistent, don't you thinK?

Interestingly, I've also seen people argue that Mac is a great coach, but can't recruit, and others at the same time say that he's a great recruiter, but can't coach. Another case of "you can't have it both ways".

I really think he needs to change his system to match his players.

In a major conference, any coach who can't (or won't) do this on at least some level will be a failure. Major conference MBB is about getting as much athletic talent as possible and then developing a gameplan to win with that talent.

Agreed. I find a good way to judge someone's coaching ability is to see what they do at halftime and the adjustments they make. Not a great strong point of McD's. People usually kick our *** coming out of half.

Exactly how many adjustments at halftime do you think the talent on this roster allows for? In more cases than not, the second half is a case of a thin team running out of gas, not "adjustments".

Coaching only goes so far. Mac mentioned that he's told Justin Hamilton again and again before OU that it didn't matter if he got a rebound, as long as he kept Griffin off the boards. We saw how well that worked, didn't we? Well, Justin will learn. It just doesn't happen overnight.

What's to "see"? Colvin and Gilstrap are a huge upgrade in skills and athleticism. All you have to do is look at the video to see. Fait accompli.
