1995-96 was my first year at ISU. That was such an awesome team to watch. And, just like the story said--nothing was expected and those guys played their ***** off every night. And they were good!
I can remember the 96-97 starting lineups and where they were from because the introductions were so wild during Floyd's years. Nothing like it.
First memory as an ISU fan was that Kansas game in 95-96. I got Willoughby's autograph at the Senior tour and was thrilled.
Ah, the good old days. Will we see them soon? Captain D's is one of my favorite fast food places when I ived in Georgia.
He said in the interview that he talked to kenny pratt a couple weeks ago. I wonder what K.P. is up to these days.... the last i heard of him he was playing in des moines against the dragons and as soon as the game got over the cops were wanting to talk to him, so he took off out of vets in his uniform!
Willoughby is one of my most favorite Cyclones!! Those guys were great to watch.
Wasn't Pratt supposed to be back for either the 150th anniversary or the Barry Stevens event? I wonder if he'll make it back this time.
as the story goes, he was wanted for domestic violence or something like that. the cops got word that he was in town playing in a basketball game (dont remember the team, but it was the visting team, not the dragons). as soon as the game was over, KP knew the cops were there so he bolted down the street still in his uniform and jumped in a van about a block away and they took off lol
That guy could bomb the 3 like crazy!!!:notworthy:
Good article. Thanks.
Always wondered what ever happened to Dedric, no doubt in my mind I will be there for that game. I heard KP really got his act together selling real estate or something and if it weren't for the weather would have made it to the Neb. game last year.
Anyone else get chills watching that video?...that Kansas team was absolutely stacked with talent...one of the best wins in Cyclone history, without a doubt.
