LA vs Mann
Kg do you know why he picked to redshirt LA over a guy who has played less than every walkon on our team?
Is LA worse than Mann?
Is Mac just trying to get Mann's 4 years over with? -
Re: LA vs Mann
L.A. is much more athletic, and longer, with a bigger upside, but is very raw offensively...
L.A. was redshirted to improve his fundamentals...although there are a lot of times I think we could use his athleticism and defense on the court this year.

LA's ceiling is much higher than Mann's...Long term we will get more out of LA than Mann.

Re: LA vs Mann
Thats exactly right LA has more upside. It is not a question of who is better. Mann is also a slightly undersized freshman post, not a recipe for a lot of playing time to begin with. If Mann sticks it out he will contribute at ISU. Also, he is a 4 and CB is and should be getting most of the minutes at the 4. In college basketball redshirts are fairly rare and it is not surprise we would only redshirt one player.

Mann = CJ minus touch, coordination, and shooting ability.

You can see in the picture below that Mann has been in training:
Okay, maybe that's not him, but imagine!

Re: LA vs Mann
why did we ever sign clinton mann? i don't know a lot about him and i'm wondering what he has that made him an appealing recruit for us to sign. if nothing, then why is he here and will he be asked to go without a scholarship for our 2010 class?
