Lucca and Boozer
Here is a line-up that I haven't seen that I would like to see more:
DG
Lucca
Boozer
Craig
JVB
I think this would give some other teams match-up problems. It would also give us some athleticism with Boozer, DG, and Craig in the game. I love Petey, but I am more and more of the opinion that his lack of athleticism is hurting the team. He doesn't make mistakes, but he doesn't make anything happen either. Teams can guard him for the 3, and don't have to respect him for anything else. I am not saying bench him, but it is time to cut back his minutes some.

Lucca isn't fast enough to guard a shooting guard. He's already overmatched in most cases at the 3. Unfortunately I think Boozer might also be overmatched at the 3. In my mind, they are both closer to 2s than 3s.

FYI...That might be our worst defensive team possible...However, they are getting better.

Re: Lucca and Boozer
Lucca would guard the slower of the wing players, with DG and Boozer guarding the quicker ones.

Re: Lucca and Boozer
I could go for some DG, Boozer, JVB, Brackins, and Ham, but that leaves AT subbing in for 3 people -

Please explain this to me. You think Petey is a better defender than Boozer? If you are referring to Ham vs JVB, I can't see that Ham is much, if any, better of a defender than JVB.

If Boozer keeps making progress like he has been...some day the answer will be no.

He makes a lot of hustle plays, but his help defense is bad. Boozer leaves his feet too much closing out when someone looks like they're going to shoot. He needs to go to the Haluska School of Going Through Picks also...along with pretty close to everyone else.

Re: Lucca and Boozer
Saying that might be our worst defensive team is kind of like saying that cream filled doughnuts are the worst one for you... like the jelly-filled and chocolate with icing isn't just as bad. At this point I don't think the awesome defensive presence *cough* that others bring to the table that Boozer doesn't is helping in the win column any. I like SC2.0's lineup too. Nothing wrong with BP coming off the bench too.

Re: Lucca and Boozer
I just wish that once in a while Petey would drive the ball into the lane. It seems like he is always a pass first type of guy. That is fine, but lets keep the defense a little honest.

I just would like to see something else than the dribbling the ball around the 3 point line and yelling out plays and using up soooo much time. The majority of the games we've played this year at Hilton, which I go to most, he just doesn't drive the lane, and TRY and keep the D honest. That's all I want to see.
