No, but I've talked to several people that have, and his coach:
Basically, he's extremely versatile:He plays the 2-4 for Brewster, and can guard anyone on the court. He's really athletic, and built like a truck. He gets to the rim really easily, and he has a killer fade-away that is basically unstoppable because of his superior length. He also rebounds well He's a very good perimeter shooter, making it almost impossible for anyone to guard him. From what I've heard, the one area he needs to improve a little is his ball-handling.

yeah, i'd love to see us get this guy. who says that we wouldn't take him and harrison? ejim sounds like he's a very good player also. i would rather have harrison, but i definitely wouldn't mind seeing us get melvin also. this years team may be lacking an athletic 3, but it seams that we won't have that problem for a while.

If you are talented the Television will find you and expose you no matter what team you play for. The thing that ISU has going for them is that we play in a major conference that gets great exposure and a coach who can recruit pretty well.

That right there makes me giddy like a little school girl. I'm not a recruiter or coach, but length to me is one of the most underrated qualities a player can have. Length gets you rebounds, loose balls, steals, and a jumper than is tough to stop. I love this kid's upside and I would be extremely happy to see him in Cardinal and Gold. Granted, I'd love to see HB in them as well. Hopefully hell will freeze over and we can get both!

I would take Ejim in a New York minute. The kid has the goods and attacks the rim very well something ISU needs. Bringing in these talented players will get Hilton rockin again like it should be.

I love hearing he is an athletic freak and can guard anyone on the court...we don't have many of those guys right now and the ones that we do have, aren't much of an offensive threat.

Do you think if Ejim commits to ISU that will increase our chances with HB? I would think so, could you imagine a line-up of Colvin, HB, Ejim, Brackins and Hamilton...(assuming Gilstrap only gets one year). I know it's a lot of ifs & ands, but it's a nice thought to get me through the rest of this season!

I don't want this to sound like I'm doubting you, but do you have a source for this? Just curious. I haven't seen Ejim's name pop up on the KU message boards.

I have heard he's averaging around 16ppg on the #8 team in the state.

    Re: Melvin Ejim

Does anyone have an idea if Melvin has a time line for when he wants to decide? Summer? Fall? After taking visits? When? I have a feeling the further in the process this goes our chances go down. On the other hand, if we can get him to commit soon, it will help with Barnes. I mean if Barnes wants to play for a school that has a chance of making a run, him, Melvin and Colvin is a darn good start.
