I like the fact we seem prepared in case Craig leaves. Wes left so late last year that it was too late to really find a decent replacement. Reese would have been ok but I'm not sure he was ready for the Big XII last year. Gilstrap is putting up better numbers than him this year. The news about Smith is interesting. Too bad we don't have a spot for him. Coach Robinson looks to be a great hire as far as recruiting goes.
Not sure how much truth is in the Darius Smith rumor...My understanding was that he basically left us hanging out to dry...During which we got in on Colvin.

I don't think it matters any more. Even if we had a schollie I don't know why we'd want him. Not a talent issue but a position/need issue.
why don't we just tell Mann that he is not big 12 material and tell him to go to UNI or somewhere else so he can actually play. that way we can get one of these other kids that can actually help ISU win a game.

I have a feeling he will leave after this season. He just doesn't seem to be where GMac probably thought he would be at this point. I don't wish him gone, but it may be best for both parties if he would transfer.
Again, it seems that 7 man recruiting class last year is turning out to be a bigger mistake than we all thought. We have two players this year (Pomlee, SC) that are taking up scholly's but are giving us no production and honestly who knows what kind of players they will turn out to be. In the meanwhile we really seem to be in on some talented kids that we have to turn down because of the scholly limit.
I'm still frustrated at the size of last years class. I think we could have taken 4-5 and invited a decent walk-on like we did with Petey and Sean to improve practices and maybe pick up a few minutes.

Need guys to practice with too...It will work out...don't be so frustrated

That, or other messages (and agreements), may have already been done. It would never come out until after the season is over though.
