I posted this in another thread, but it speaks to the bolded point above...
According to the latest Big 12 stats, through 11 games...
Lucca is shooting 29-87 .333 overall, and 24-73 .329 three point FGs.
Peterson is shooting 20-52 .385 overall, and 15-42 .357 three point FGs.
Haluska is shooting 4-20 .200 overall, and 2-10 .200 three point FGs.
If I read this correctly, ISU has 2 starters and one significant backup player that between them have made 12 two-point field goals (24 points) in 11 conference games. That's about 1 made 2-point basket total per game from three significant players.
Lucca/Peterson between them have made 5 FTs in 11 conference games.
Somehow, ISU needs to get some easier points from these positions. It makes it much easier for the defense (and harder for Brackins) when the defenders know that all ISU is going to get from the 2/3 is three point shots...
Booze should be playing more at 2 spot.
The 2 spot has been no worse than the 3 spot with the 5 spot being a source of weakness at times. Time to move to the future. We are tracking for a win in our last home game only without changes. Need hope and change.
CFH HMagic bball season.
