I would like to see him play sometime as well. If they made it state, that would be great, but it doesn't look like that will happen this year

I would like to see him on campus. It's just to long between now and when he can sign a LOI.

I live in Sioux City and have seen some highlights on TV. He is the real deal.

I have a friend who is a Husker fan and he went to see him play last week and said he is "special" about 5 times. He thought we may have trouble keeping the big boys away from him in the next couple of years. That brings me to a question. Does he have any specific reason for verbaling to ISU so early, like is he a lifelong Cyclone fan?

Something good has to happen to Iowa State. I think his verbal is solid. I think he will stay with Iowa State even when the bigger programs come calling.

Sioux City East is on the other half of their district, correct? Are they that much better that it would be a huge upset for West to win?

He just had a good relationship with the staff, and felt it was the best decision for him. He is a very solid verbal, so no worries about him listening to other programs trying to steal him away from us.

He still has three years to change his mind. There is no such thing as a solid verbal from a freshman in high school. I'm happy we have a verbal as it clearly shows we are in the lead, but to say we don't have to worry is a tad ridiculous.

I like the way that sounds! What do you think he'll be rated in 4 years. Do you think he'll be a five, four, three star or what

5-star...right now ESPN has him as the 8th best player in his class, and the 3rd best PG....in the country in his class.

You haven't been alive long enough to say "no worries" about this situation. Trust me, there will be time to worry if this doesn't get turned around.

I'm not much into hs bb. I pretty much only pay attention to S.C. West because of Staten and Rock Valley because of Dykstra. Of the 4 S.C. metro teams, West is at the bottom. Heelan and East are the best and they tend to beat West by about 20 each time. Since I mentioned Dykstra, I'll comment on him briefly. I don't believe he is the best player on that Rock Valley team. There is another 6'9" kid that is the star of the team. I think Dykstra is only a soph., so he has a lot of time to develop.
