Wishlist for Cyclone Sports
1. A Point guard that doesn't need a big guy to set a screen to get in the lane
2. A Point guard that doesn't dribble the air out of a ball w/o doing anything
3. A shooter
4. A coach that can draw up a play out of a time out (we were 0 for the game again today)
5. A road win in any sport
6. Yards after catch
7. Pressure on a QB
8. Finishing and winning a game that we should win (BB: Drake, Hawaii, KSU FB: Kansas, Colorado, UNLV)
I could go on and on but I thought I would give some of you a chance to post your wishlist. Sorry to be so negative but today's loss was the most painful to watch, and that is saying something

Fair enough. But don't you think 4 years in patient enough? And it isn't just 4 years of struggling, it is 4 years of being awful. I still have faith though

This is all I want. Just win the games your supposed to. Do that and ISU would go to the NIT and a bowl game every year. But instead we lose games we should and do it in the dumbest way possible.
Example: 2005 football season.
Re: Wishlist for Cyclone Sports
Will we find success in basketball or football first?
Re: Wishlist for Cyclone Sports
My one wish is to be relevant again.

I don't know what else he is to do when nobody is working to get open. Whenever it looked like DG was in trouble we had guys running away from the ball, not sure how that can help...

I was at the game in the 90s when the students tore down the goalposts and threw them in Lake LaVerne after beating Baylor. BAYLOR. Cyclone sports have seen darker days.
I hate to see us lose as much as the next person, but that's the way it goes. Win or lose, I'm going to be passionate about the Cyclones. I have a connection to Iowa State University and nothing matters more than that--not the starting line-up, not the final score, not the season record, not the coach or the athletic director. I get to relax and follow the teams that I love, and get to watch students enjoy their time at the greatest institution in the world.

Bingo. I think a lot of it had to Kansas State's defense tonight. They knew we are terrible at starting our offense and took advantage it.

to win in MBB and football

That's the problem though. He is always in trouble. He is a PG who can't get any seperation from his guy.
Granted nobody else gets seperation and that makes it hard for him to get rid of the ball, but it is either DG's fault for dribbling to much or McD's fault for running an offense so awful

Yeah, once in the first half, Brackins was double-teamed with the ball and saw Boozer cutting down the lane. Bingo - pass to Boozer. Amazing what happens when you move. Bet DG could write a book.

Thanks for the passionate post. Doesn't change anything though. Cyclone sports have not seen darker days. When was the last time we were this bad for 3 straight years in both basketball and football?
I am still going to cheer for ISU in every game. I still will have faith that it will turn around, but my patients is running low at this moment. Losing this game today is beyond unacceptable. Terrible loss
