Re: Most improved player
Boozer has been my favorite player since Rahshon left.
One game when we sat down below I kept yelling - put in Boozer as Diante was getting his *** kicked by the guy he was defending. He wasn't put in that game, but has played more since then. (and no, I'm not claiming that is b/c of me) I think he has some defense skills and a fire in the belly that lacks in our players sometimes.
Just in case you didn't know... I'm a girl. -
Re: Most improved player
There have been alot of guys who have actually improved quite abit during the season imo. Boozer has just turned himself into a whole different player, JVB has stepped up in conference play, and Ham has improved alot to from the very beginning of the season

Re: Most improved player
Boozer has gone from a guy that looked lost on defense every time he actually got on the floor, and chucked up whatever three-pointer he could get his hands on.
Now he's turning into a guy that gives his guy a terrible time on defense, hounding them all over the court, and far from lost. At the same time, he runs the offense, looking for his teammates first. He's gone from a guy that people didn't always look forward to seeing into a (maybe the) crowd favorite.
I'll vote for Boozer.
If Buckley steps up the progress he's making that gets him into the game now, he could have a real shot.

mann (what the heck we have to have 5 characters. i remember 8 but now 5?)

Re: Most improved player
JVB over the course of this season. He went from seeing very few minutes to starting. If he continues to shoot the ball like he has been next year for us and Gilstrap can penetrate like he's supposed to be able to... we could be dangerous.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Re: Most improved player
If you want Most Improved = Brackins. Easy. By far.
If you want Biggest Surprise = Tie between Boozer and Hamilton.

Re: Most improved player
Boozer has been a very pleasant surprise, but I don't see how this can be anyone but Brackins. He went from being owned by Cyrus Tate to scoring 42 against Kansas.

If you would've told me we'd be so concerned with him leaving after this year at that point, I would've thought, "who's bad advice is he listening to?". Exactly, Brackins went from an inconsistent, potential star (remember the Iowa game?) to first team all Big XII and a sure first round draft pick. That is huge improvement.
