Chris Colvin First Team All-Public League

Chris Colvin was just selected to the first-team All Public League Team in Chicago. Here is what the Chicago Sun-Times had to say about him:

On a Young squad loaded with nine Division I players, Chris Colvin may be the best. The 6-2 guard headed for Iowa State possesses blazing quickness, deadly jump shots, and is virtually impossible to stop going to the basket.
‘‘Chris is a four-year varsity player and has been the glue to our program,’’ Young coach Tyrone Slaughter said. ‘‘He’s a great ballhandler, has a tremendous ability to finish at the rim, and makes everyone around him better.’’

Can't wait to see him in a Cyclone uniform.

No expectations, but if he can do all that, its what we have been needing..at least one piece.

I like the combo of him and Gilstrap coming in next year. If Craig decides to stick around, this team could be dangerous next year.

I really hope he can step in and do this right away.

Hopefully first year expectations will be held in check for him. If I remember correctly Buckley has his way in highschool as well.

Colvin has shot at Mr. Basketball for Illinois, although I would call them slim.

I agree on holding expectations, but I recall Buck was considered more of a distributor not a slashing scorer.

I believe that Colvin is a bit better than Buckley was coming out of high school

Maybe a second coming of Dedric Willoughby?!? He might not play like him as frosh, but when he gets to be an upperclassmen, he will be the focus of the team IMO.
