Do you know what there practice schedule is like? How fast is there metabolism? Are the amount of calories they ingest enough for the amount of work they put in each day? Are the kids stressed out (and this can be anything involving a 19-21 year old college student)? What is the genetic level of the athlete in question? Are they getting enough rest? And so on and so forth....As you can see there are multiple factors that go into an athlete. And there are probably more variables that I am not even thinking of at this moment. So before you judge someone based on own experience, put yourself in there exact time and situation, after a winding down season and tell me what should be done...
