Were we supposed to win tonight?
I was kind of frustrated about this loss until seeing the same people predicting a loss, complaining about the loss once it ended. Were we even supposed to win tonight??

Re: Were we supposed to win tonight?
We were 9.5 point dogs, but we just played like crap. Nebraska isn't that good of a team and we should have been closer than we were

We should win every game.

hell, haverhill should be rooting for brackins to leave so next year when we lose every conference game no one can complain since we werent favored in any of them.

Re: Were we supposed to win tonight?
We should aim to win every game. We're not Iowa, we care about basketball even when we're not winning.
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. -

How "someone" translates this: Originally Posted by Haverhill I was kind of frustrated about this loss until seeing the same people predicting a loss, complaining about the loss once it ended. Re: Were we supposed to win tonight?
When the economy is in the dumps - the president is held responsible.
When a company loses money - the CEO is held responsible.
When an sports team loses - the head coach is held responsible.
Not sure why this is such a mysterious concept. I can stomach exactly 1 more year of this. No NCAA in '10 = no GM at ISU.

To me, that looks like he's saying that select group is just looking for something to whine about.

All I'm getting at is that most people on this message board were predicting a loss but then complained when it was over. I dont think firing a coach will do crap at this stage in the game and people are calling for his head.

Then you get flamed for being in meltdown mode because you are mad that we got blown out once again by a mediocre team at best.
I really think apathy has set in for alot of people on here.

I really think apathy has set in for alot of people on here. And I think overreaction has set in for a lot of people on here. Look at the wrestling threads whining about how we lost to Mizzou. Or how we "don't have any wrestler at 133 for a dual" when winning a dual meet at this point in the year means virtually tiddly-winks. People were screaming to fire chizik this fall, then screamed that he ditched us in December.
