I’ve never understood these All-___ lists. Shouldn’t they be reflective of an actual team? On the NABC District 8 team you have a PG (Collins), 3 Power Forwards (Griffin, Brackins, and Carroll), and 1 Center (Aldrich). The starting line-up on the National League All-Star Team doesn’t have 3 1st basemen.

I agree that it looks kind of odd, but wouldn't you rather them award the most deserving 5 players than arbitrarily award lesser players because they play a position where there isn't as much talent?

If they only are going to pick one from each position, Brackins sure as hell isn't getting 1st team honors.

Not a huge deal to me but when I think of an All-Big XII Team I would want it to reflect the actual team I would want to field.

5 best players means more to me than best at each position. But it can be hard to compare position to position.

District 8 is comprised solely of all twelve Big 12 schools. So this might as well be the NABC All-Big 12 team.

It may actually be better for us if they did make the first team reflect the an actual team. Don't need any ideas of grandeur getting into Brackins head.

You think he's not going to realize that he's second in the league in scoring to the best player in college, he plays with Missouri Valley-level players, and he is a projected 1st rounder ... until the NABC decided to put him on the 1st team?

I don't know if he will or won't, but getting a first team award is a big deal and more will be coming. I want him to be rewarded for his effort, at the same time I want him to stay and anything that may convince Brackins to move on is a big negative. I'm conflicted
