"Hearing" from who? Who are his sources? My point is that he made this up to give his "opinion" credibility. That's a heck of a lot different than saying "in my opinion, HB should go to prep school."
He even repeated this "I'm hearing" scenario to the CIML high school coach he interviewed later, to give this BS the same authenticity. Completely irresponsible...

You dont have to have a SOURCE to hear stuff... People were talking about it so it's a relavant discussion topic. We were talking about it on here MONTHS ago, that could be 'hearing it'. He never said he heard from a source or that Harrison is considering it, just that he could... Man, I can't beleive how sensitive and overreacting some people can be...

Exactly just like Ron Paul's economic theories. If you say enough crazy things eventually one of those items might come true and then people think you must be a genius.

3. If Duke was seriously in the mix, they may want him to attend there as many great players in the past have

From what I heard, it was speculation backed up with decent reasoning. I believe I listened on Tuesday. Granted I didn't listen on Wednesday and they weren't on the air yesterday. Perhaps he made it known that it was a done deal on Wed?

Let me finish by saying that I'm NOT AT ALL a M&M fan. I do listen because I enjoy sports radio. I think Marty is a hack and likes to stir the pot. But I honestly can't say that he broke this story as a done deal or anything like that on Tuesday. Sounded like he was tossing a possibility and backing up his thoughts with sound reasoning. Opinion - yes. Rumor - I didn't take it that way.

These could be given as reasons for any good d1 prospect in the country to go play prep ball...the FACT is that Barnes isn't going anywhere...and Marty should (obviously he isn't) be smart enough to realize that what he's "hearing" about Barnes going to play prep ball is bull...and all he's doing by talking about this is starting a whole lot of speculation over nothing...as is often the case with Marty.

As dumb as this rumor was, the fact that Duke would EVER ask a kid to go to Oak Hill is beyond stupid. Duke and the Coach of Oak Hill, Steve Smith, don't exactly get along as Smith has encouraged many of his players to not attend Duke. The only way Oak Hill kids end up at Duke is if there is an extremely strong relationship between the kid and Duke before the player attends (i.e. Nolan Smith).
