Maybe, but Arkansas was the one that bolted from the SWAC for the SEC. That's what ultimately brought down the SWAC...after that, it was seen for what it really was all along, an all-Texas league:Quote:

Plus the big 12 is almost perfectly north south. Memphis lost when they played Major conference teams. couldn't the big east use another team?:wink:

Memphis needs to play a legit basketball schedule. But they aren't the independent that ND is in football so they would need to bring all sports to the big east.
Not to nitpick, but Arkansas and the the Texas schools were in the SWC, not the SWAC. The SWAC is a I-AA conference with teams like Grambling and Southern.Quote:
