Casey Kasperbauer from Carroll
Has anyone here seen this kid play? I know he is only a freshman, but can he be a Division 1 player? With Paige, Staten, Gissell, and this kid the 2012 class is shaping up to be a very good one in the state of Iowa.

It would be nice to have a few bigs in that class as well.

I coach the freshman football team and we played against Carroll. He was an athletic freak as their QB; it was hard to believe he was only a freshman. From what I hear he is the same way in bball.

Re: Casey Kasperbauer from Carroll
We're showing interest, but Kasperbauer isn't as good as Paige or Gessell, at least right now.

When does the stalking begin? Has anyone been to his facebook page yet and said hello? We need to get in on him quick. -

...and it doesn't sound like he'll grow much more either. He's got a pure shot and a real head for the game (coach's son), but still needs to work on his handle.
Should be interesting to see how he develops over the next 3 seasons...

(If they all continue to develop and grow.)

Re: Casey Kasperbauer from Carroll
I've seen him play a few times as my nephew is on the team. He has the ability to take over the game for Carroll but he is very unselfish. He can handle the ball very well. I think he will be D-1 easily by the time he's a senior.
"Bring it all to the table. Don't hold nothin' back," he said. "I want you. I want the ball. I want your head. I throw my body into 'em and hit them." - #23 Leonard Johnson -

From what I hear he is the same way in bball. One of the Jefferson High School football coaches told me that Kasperbauer was a better quarterback than Blake Haluska. Kid must be quite a athlete. Haluska was all state in football so I seriously doubt Casey will beat him out. Haluska's Dad is the High School principle so politics is a factor also.

Are you kidding me? The state of Iowa has never produced more than 2 top 100 athletes in the same year, to my knowledge................. Originally Posted by cyismydog Staten will be top 25 if he continues to develop, Paige will be top 50, Gessell, top 100, and Kasperbauer top 150, JMO.
