    ISU Coaches Debate

Stopping by Kum and Go for a pop today I saw LE filling up with gas in his Southern Miss gear. It got me to thinking who was our best MBB coach and wanted to put it to a vote.

    Here's some food for thought:
Orr- Got it all going...Great at pumping in the premium gasoline, but had trouble going away from his favorite home pump to go pay somewhere else.

TF- Many say he was the best at getting the gas AND paying for it. Problem is he always had one eye on the next gas station...

LE- "Hypermiler"...seemed to squeeze every last drop out of his tank. Problem was that some say he pushed too hard and ran out of gas. Other critics claim that he used TF's credit card to get some premium gasoline right away. These critics wouldn't likely be fit to work the register at Kum and Go IMO.

So lets have it, who was our best MBB coach??

Disclaimer: I wanted to try posting a poll and realize this is probably lame to most and has been beaten into the ground before...

“I’m just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard,” Eustachy joked. “If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, he’ll be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.”

Washington making a comeback. Come on, gentlemen! Keep the bracket alive!

Because I'm sure they compete just for my sake.

    Edit: Sorry. Wrong thread.

I think all 3 did different things for the school, but I voted for Orr because he started the tradition, and he did lead Michigan to the final, showing he could get it done somewhere. It is hard to argue against Floyd though.

Based on records, Wayne Morgan has the best winning % of any coach in ISU in their first three years. (Which is all he got)

Where did you get that from? Morgan's winning record was 58%. Tim Floyd was only here three years and he was 62%. Eustachy had a 77% winning record in his first three years.

    Re: ISU Coaches Debate

LE was an excellent coach - just a lousy recruiter. LE has won conf championships in I think 3 diff conferences that alone shows the guy can coach. Too bad he screwed up his life and ISU in the process of his meltdown.
