"2010 commit Chim Kadima, a guard from Milwaukee (WI) Lutheran High School and the ISU staff have mutually decided to part ways."
Anyone know the rest of the story? I have a hard time believing that it was mutual, someone had to initiate this. I wish him the best, and hope this happened to open the door for a bigger recruit. I'm not implying that he wasnt a quality recruit, I just hope that this works out to be a positive for us.

Maybe McDermott is finally "getting it" on the recruiting trail. According to Rivals, his only offers were: ISU, Wisconsin/Milwaukee, Loyola Chicago, and Wisconsin GB.
We need to set our sights a bit higher than that, IMO. Unless we're taking on an occasional project big man (Hamilton) since McD specializes in bigs.

Don't look at this as a negative. Mutually agreed by both parties.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -

Could it be that Chim Kadima believes that he wouldn't play much with Colvin ahead of him and us recruiting guys like Randle after him and McDermott was more than willing to use his scholarship in another way

This might actually be the first time in a few years that a recruit not coming to ISU could be good news......let's hope this is the case. I'm not saying that I didn't want Kadima, but if this came about because we had some assurance that a "better" recruit was going to fill the spot, that would be a nice turn of events (Which has been far too long coming for ISU!)
