cysmydog & kgcyclone
if everything works out for us next year and everyone is back (including brackins), how do you see us finishing next year? Would you mind W/L the schedule?
Will Dendy start, and what is your projected rotation for next year?
I know you have both touched on it a little in other posts, but what are your thoughts on the staffs plans for building this team and how likely is it that the majority of the players fall into place?
Do we have any shot at Mike Shaw ('11) or Perry Ellis ('12)
Like the MAJORITY of this board, thanks for your input.

Do we have any shot at Mike Shaw ('11) or Perry Ellis ('12) I know they were trying to get in on Ellis...but last time I asked, we were not in yet.

It really depends, on how this team gels, if Giilstrap is good as expected, and how Brackins does.

Probably, depends

We're trying for Ellis, and though most don't believe it, we've got a shot at Shaw.

Like the MAJORITY of this board, thanks for your input. I don't know what kind of baller Ellis is but he is a damn fine men's clothier...suits, shirts, etc. His cologne is pretty decent as well. Hopefully, he can pay his own way and no scholarship will be necessary.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

Re: cysmydog & kgcyclone
Regarding Dendy, I don't really like the signing. Given the timing of his verbal/signing, it seems he was only brought in to be a back-up plan if Brackins leaves. The thing is, though, that if Brackins leaves, we won't be any good anyway, and if he stays, Dendy won't play much. Either way, I think we would have been better off getting a freshman who could develop over 4 years than a lightly recruited juco that we'll only get 2 years out of.
Regarding Ellis, he just won the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year and his team won Kansas 6A (highest division in the state)...as a freshman. I know that KU is hard on his trail; KSU is as well, but obviously will have a much worse chance than KU. If he keeps up his improvement, he'll be a top 10-20 guy. I would expect that ISU will never be a big time player in his recruitment.
