Just thought i would put up every teams' recruiting class in the big 12 to show what we are up against. Also to remind people that, while we have great recruits coming in, so does basically everyone else, so it probably won't be a quick fix. Who does everyone think will have the top class? I would say at this point its gotta be Texas, but if Kansas can somehow get Wall they will move up their.

When did Alabama join the Big12? -

Here is a less click-y version. Big 12 College Basketball Recruiting 2009 - ESPN
I agree that Texas has the best recruiting class. Oklahoma isn't far behind though...

Re: Big 12 recruiting class so far.
It seems to me that our recruiting class is right there with Colorado, Texas Tech, and Nebraska, while the others are better.
What makes people think we'll be all that much more competitive in the conference when we're putting out the 8th best class in the conference? Sure we'll be better but so will everyone else...

Not saying you're wrong... but we can't just look at what players each team is adding, you also need to look at what players each team is losing. We only know we're losing, AT, Petey, Haluska, and Mann. Yes, some of those guys got a lot of PT, and regardless of what others think, I believe they did bring things to the table that will be missed. But other teams may have lost more or less than us and that needs to be accounted for.
This is my sarcasm pirate. There are many like it but this one is mine. -

But other teams may have lost more or less than us and that needs to be accounted for. That's my main concern with our returners. Petey, Haluska, and Thompson were NOT that good of players, but none of the younger guys could grab minutes from them... That's kinda scary.

The way you worded this proves my point though.
The 8 other schools (not Colorado, Tech, or Nebraska) have better talent than us right now. They are now adding new talent (that is better than our new talent) to their already superior talent pool, so the gap continues to grow.
On the flip side, our talent pool is probably below Nebraska right now, but we will be bringing in some better players than them, thus closing the gap.
