will brackins leave?
i am guessing he will... why not? every good hoops star we get ends up either leaving or getting kicked off the team... stinson, blaylock, wesley johnson, taylor, fizer left early.... why would brackins want to stay and play for a losing team? i personally think he needs another year to develope his skills. but then again the nba has changed alot over the last decade. 10 yeard ago he would have got schooled in the nba, because he is not all that physical inside. they way the game is played now, he could really dominate. you guys think he will return to the clones?

Been away from CF for awhile?

My prediction is that he leaves and doesn't pan out in the NBA.

he wont unless he signs an agent. If he doesnt sign an agent than he is free to come back when he isnt a lottery or 1st round pick

I watch a lot of NBA basketball and think he has a perfect game to average 12 and 7 in the NBA some day

Re: will brackins leave?
I'm guessing he stays. History shows (same timeline of history original poster is using) that players from ISU that jump early get told they will get drafted 20 spots higher than they actually will, and end up not in the league 3 years down the road. I think Brackins will realize this because he's a smart guy and will see that recent history that players are told what they want to hear. I think he'll likes it at ISU, likes what we're bringing in next year, and knows that our current players will improve too. He's going to do what it takes to be next year's Blake Griffin and be a lotto pick next year.
In no way shape or form do I have any reason to beleive the above other than that I am an optimistic person. However, if it were to be that truly the best move for Craig is to go pro, then I hope he does. I will always wish the best for the players and their futures over my entertainment. That being said, my uneducated feeling is that staying one more year (not two) is his best option, unless one of his life goals is a shot at a final 4, then I suggest he sit down with Harrison Barnes and tell him he will be here 2 years from now and would like to take I State to the 2011 Final Four with HB, Colvin, Dendy, Ejim, DG, Lucca, Ham, Dykstra, Boozer, Christopherson, Buckley and whoever else I am not thinking of off the top of my head.
This is my sarcasm pirate. There are many like it but this one is mine. -

I'm no scout, but I feel like he's too slow to play 3 and that he might not have what it takes to play 4. I watch a lot of NBA too, and I guess I just don't see it. Agree to disagree, I suppose
The other thing that worries me is that these players seem to be on such a short leash. I feel like it's boom or bust and that this determination is made too early on. I feel like there are two paths. One, you come in and contribute immediately. Two, you ride the pine and fade into obscurity. The NBA doesn't seem to have much patience for "project" players that need time to develop, unless of course you're a very high pick.
So much of this depends on what team you get drafted by. Let's assume Brackins goes late first round, which immediately puts him on a good NBA team (I assume good team = more talent = less opportunity). Meanwhile, early first round picks are going to go to bad teams (I assume bad team = less talent = more opportunity).

Hey Alfraud, shouldn't you worry about your own program? We know you are envious of not having players as good as the ones listed above when you coached at Iowa, but you need to move on. Maybe you good take a 4th grade grammar and spelling class if you have some free time.
PS - EIU fans still hate you.

Matt Bullard played 11 seasons in the NBA and never averaged more than 7.3 ppg or 2.8 rpg. His career averages are 5.3 and 2.0 for points and rebounds respectively.

Re: will brackins leave?
hopefully he picks up the phone and calls Blake Griffin and asks him why he stayed. Last year Griffin was going to be a late lottery pick, maybe mid-first rounder - now he is probably the #1 or 2 pick. Big difference in pay days.
