smydog We are going to offer Thames, and go after him as hard as we can. I am pretty sure CB is gone, and we may try to get both Thames and Pelham/Lych, though that would screw with our scholarship situation in 2010.
2010-
We are sitting pretty with Ejim, hopefully his team plays only Canadien tournaments, and he can stay off the big boys radar.
Harrison Barnes-I really like our chance with him. I have been hearing from lots of different people, and they are all optimistic
2011-
We're still in the lead for Chasson Randle and Darnell Harris
We are evaluating post prospects, but don't have any offers out at this time
Thames is a combo guard. Think Jacob Pullen, though he is a better shooter than Pullen.
Here's a break down of Colvin and Thames games
Stronger: Colvin
Explosive: Colvin
Ballhandler: Push
Scorer in traffic/ half court set: Thames
Scorer in open court: Colvin
Shooter: Thames
Passer: Colvin
Wingspan: Thames
Defender: Push, they're both pretty good, and they're both undisciplined
Discipline on offense: Push, both need to work on decision making a little
I think I might watch a little film on Pelham and Lytch that I found on the internet.
If we land Thames, our recruitng class will be really impressive, with
#14 PG, 4 star Colvin
#16 PG almost 4 star Thames
#1 or 2 juco in country
#64th overall and #17 PF out of high school
That's pretty impressive no matter how you slice it.
If we get Thames and no post, we could go with this line-up
Buckley/Colvin
2-DG/Thames
3-Lucca, Dendy, Gilstrap
4-Dendy, Gilstrap
5-Ham and JVB.
The only problem would be height at the 4 position. Dendy is very, very similar to Demarre Carrol, a post who can play on the wing and post up, is really long and athletic. The thing that Dendy really needs to work on is his strength, but with his jumpshot and post game, he will be very good for us.
