I do agree that we'll have some talent coming in perhaps. I also think that people make the same arguments as you every single year, and they haven't worked out. I'll need to see it on the court from November until March, NOT on a message board from April to October... And every year some people choose to think that ISU will fail and sometimes they surprise as well. 32-4.

Re: Brackins Mentioned by NBA GM
DG was ranked 123 in his class, not top 100.

Re: Brackins Mentioned by NBA GM
I was going by this link: Rivals.com Basketball Recruiting - 2007 Rivals150 sees some changes
And all of you are right, he was a top 150 but not top 100 player. I remember seeing him on the list; I just forgot that the list was top 150 not top 100.

Who says Christopherson would be any different than someone in Eiks, or Luccas situation?
Also, Colvin is a freshmen, so I think you have to temper expectations a little. Remember, DG was a top 100 player as well. He didn't exactly change the game in year 1... Yep. Things look pretty bad. You should probably burn all your ISU gear and never come within 100 miles of Ames again. Good luck in life sir.......

Whew, thank God. No offense, but what a d-bag. And notice I said 'no offense indented', that means I can say whatever I want, its in the Geneva Convention.

Well, you took an extreme example of people not expecting much from ISU and having them have an amazing season, as if it would happen again. No way, we go 32-4 and I am sure you could agree to that too, even if Brackins comes back...

I agree more than likely we're not going 32-4 next season - but nobody thought we were going 32-4 back in 1999, either. In fact, everyone thought we were finishing dead last.

We had a #167 RPI, a #90 Strength of Schedule, and a joke of a non-conference schedule, all with an All-Big 12 player, yet we couldn't even get a winning record.
Last year, Kansas State won 22 games, had a winning conference record, yet didn't make the NCAAs.
With a tougher non-conference schedule (according to McDermott), do you really think that we'll get 7-8 games better than last year? Perhaps, but I will wait and see....

Re: Brackins Mentioned by NBA GM
I'm keeping it real man. Right now, we're a mid-major team playing in a BCS conference.
mplscyclone,,, When keeping it real goes wrong.

All of my points aren't to purposley **** off the fanbase. Hell, I am part of the fanbase as well.
I am just saying what I think, and I try to support it with data or facts when possible. Don't understand why so many get so disrespectful but whatever. I suppose if some people hate you, you're probably doing alright....

it's not that man. It's the fact that if there was an earthquake you would just declare everyone dead instead of keeping hope alive that something somewhere is alive. You constantly dislike every recruit including Laron Dendy who was top 70 out of high school. You want our best player to leave to the NBA even though it might be better to come back and develope a little.
We get that we were not good last year. We are all holding out hope that our star player comes back. Our freshman and Lucca now have one year under there belt. We add a superstar Juco in Gilstrap and you just keep ********. I was one that was mad last season as well. However it's a new season next year and people want to have hope. We want to win. Quit your ******** and get on the train. We might be good.

My comments will reflect how I feel about the team. It's up to them to play well.
I love how you take my comments and interpret them yourself. I have never said I want Brackins to leave, I just think his best move is to leave. Honestly, if you could make $1.5 million a year, or play on a bubble team, which would you do?
I do not mind any of our recruits with the exception of Dendy. I just think people are expecting too much out of them.
Something that ISU basketball fans are not realizing is that you need athletic guard play. You need guards that can score first now-a-days. We still do not have that. Colvin is a scorer, sure, but who knows how long it will take him to get adjusted to McDermott's system?
