Wouldn't there be a news conference for 2day if Brackins declares for NBA
and the last thing I saw Iowa State has not scheduled one and this leads me to believe that Brackins is coming back next year and if there was one 2day then he would of declared for the NBA.......
I remember reading something earlier this week that today is the day we will find out on Brackins future but I cant find anywhere that news conference is scheduled for today...............

hopefully one of his roomates drug him for the next 24 hours so he can't declare.

another important factor for a college basketball player before going to the NBA is the NCAA Tournament as that is one of the goals for them as well....
Re: Wouldn't there be a news conference for 2day if Brackins declares for NBA
i think hes leaning toward staying...just what i think though
Re: Wouldn't there be a news conference for 2day if Brackins declares for NBA
Is today the last day to enter, or is it tomorrow?

Why today?
Deadline isn't until Sunday.

That made me chuckle.
Seriously though, any updates on Brackins? Someone earlier in the week said that he was going to have a presser today.

I don't feel as good about him staying anymore. With everyone pulling their name out of the draft this year, it's a very weak pool. Next year is going to be loaded. I see him looking for every reason to stay, but just can't pass this up.

I think nbadraft.net hit the nail on the head. He is hybrid-foward that can play either forward position, but just not at the next level yet. He needs to add muscle to play in the post or get quicker.
They have him going on 2010 and I think that is what he needs to do to ensure he sticks in the NBA. The NBA does not develop talent, you are ready to go or you are not. Plus why go if you don't have to go??? You can come back next year and polish up your game to be a 3 or 4 and be ready for the NBA.
Re: Wouldn't there be a news conference for 2day if Brackins declares for NBA
If he could go 240#s, he would be ready for next level. Would not McD be in town if a press conference occurred? Would not someone from Craig's family come to town also?
Re: Wouldn't there be a news conference for 2day if Brackins declares for NBA
He can play at next level, but it will take least two years or so to get to the level he wants to play at. I think he will be top 10 pick regardless if he declares. I think he will stay, so he can shine in NCAA tournament and destroy the doubt everyone has on him. He is in no hurry and he has RIGHT people around him to guide this process. I would love to see him dominate against KU one more time!
NBAdraft isnt that accurate.... :) Its like Kiper Jr, he gets 19% of draft picks correct every year.
Re: Wouldn't there be a news conference for 2day if Brackins declares for NBA
Even if he does declare he can still back out. I think most of us have expected him to declare and I'd be shocked if he didn't.

Looks like McD has received the message about better talent. If he wants to survive in the job, he needs to go up talent, play a more exciting game, and win more than 15 games. If Craig stays for the fourth first year, the team will have higher expectations such as NIT or NCAA entry than the past three first years.
