I'm not going to tell you exactly who it is, suffice to say it's someone extremely close to Harrison, and someone who would have first hand knowledge of the situation.

I will be completely shocked if he goes to Kansas. I love Bill Self and think he is a hell of a coach/recruiter. But I don't see Barnes going to a school where he has to play ISU twice in a year. Just don't see it

I have a source too but I can't tell you who/what it is. If I did tell you, I would get fired from my high ranking position inside the athletic department. You'll just have to be satisfied with my quality information. Don't question, just believe.

Playing ISU twice is a disadvantage for Self. If he could convince Barnes to sign with KU it might one-up getting Julian Wright to commit without ever seeing the campus. He could look at it this way, if he goes to KU he will only play in Hilton once or twice for his college career.

I want Harrison to stay in Ames as much as anyone on this board, and I would never say anything that would be detrimental with regard to recruiting a player for the Cyclones.
If KU has a chance, it would be because his mother can drive there to watch him play in person, without incurring any significant costs.
However, that reason alone is an excellent reason for him to stay and play for the good guys.
Just my opinion, of course.
