Re: D. McDermott rated a three star by Scout
Will he take an official visit to ISU?

Re: D. McDermott rated a three star by Scout
Why don't they have his UNI offer listed?
Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good. Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better. Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step. My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk,superdorf, clones_jer. That is all. -
Re: D. McDermott rated a three star by Scout
He didnt even start on his high school team. He seems like a solid player and is Ames second best player. I still dont know why he wasn't a starter and that is why I don't get the ranking. I only saw him play twice though.

He is only a solid role player at his High School now. I would still like to see him come to ISU only because I think he could become good and only on daddy's dollar. I am just not seeing it though.

I will agree with you though, he could develop into a pretty good player.

Re: D. McDermott rated a three star by Scout
I think D-McD could work himself into the UNI rotation if he chooses that route. I still think he has a lot to work on before ISU should give him a hard look. He's a solid ballplayer and he can do some things well, but so could Clayton Vette, Clinton Mann & Cory Johnson. I know D-McD is a different player than those three, but I don't think his contribution to ISU would ever be more than any of those three, especially Cory Johnson, who I thought was a solid backup.

I agree. IMO I dont think he would contribute anymore than they did. I think he'd be more of a UNI fit.

Re: D. McDermott rated a three star by Scout
We've had a lot of kids here recently who turned out not to be quite ready to play Big 12 level competition.

Re: D. McDermott rated a three star by Scout
Isn't basically everyone a three star on scout
Clayton Vette, Cory Johnson, Ross Marsden, Agnew, Reggie George all think so.

I hope we don't see any NCAA infractions with this one... How many phone calls to Greg get?
He sounds like a Mo Valley player to me, but who knows....hard to judge right now.
Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum....
