Harry Carey says no. Haha it took me forever to figure out where that was from. HEY! CUBS WIN!

Hmmm, if the predator monster wasn't from Iowa, I guess he couldn't suit up for the Cyclones. But what if his spaceship landed in Iowa? Would he be eligible?

Mod intervention from above would be a wonderful thing right now.

It isn't an either/or. A lot of the top rated kids work very hard. Do you think Harrison Barnes doesn't work hard?

I want to see the best possible players. If they come from IA, good. If not, good. If I only wanted to watch Iowans play I'd follow high school sports.

    Re: If the NCAA

This idea is horrible. Since recruiting begins as early as 8th grade (if not younger), all you'd have is families relocating so that the particular school could offer that player. Someone like Barnes would simply move out of Iowa while in high school if he didn't want to go to ISU, and that would be bad for the state.

Have you heard of Texas? That giant-state-that's-more-populous-than-a-lot-of-countries?

May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.)

In Iowa, the in-state kids simply aren't as good. Iowa is just not as talented at high school sports in comparison to other states.

As an ISU fan, I want the best players. The idea that elite players do not work hard is silly. Yes, some of them go off of their talents alone, but others had to work extremley hard.

    Re: If the NCAA

I would support the NCAA 110% to test this rule for the 2010 class. Then realize it's stupid and then abolish it after 2010.
    I'll take a Jack & Hilton
