Re: New 2010 Post offer?
Hype makes a program. Period. It's not always a positive but we get butts in the seats from hype, money for the AD from hype and 1,000,000 people a day on this site talking and obsessing over ISU because of hype. If we don't hype our own players who will?
And before someone says it, yes, I understand hyping a kid puts pressure on them as well as expectations that may be unrealistic but hey...its the big 12 brother, this ain't intermuals.

So, going now to a practical question, what kind of chance do we have in signing this kid?

Summer just started, signing day is in November, and he has a bunch of kids from his HS who are either at ISU or will be enrolling in the Fall. In other words, without hearing from the kid himself, it's tough to tell.
He's not a blue chipper, but not everyone has to be a star--and we can always use rebounding and shot blocking. I think that he would fit in nicely with the rest of the players GMac has been bringing in, with time to season a little behind Justin Hamilton.

Just an update on Darrell 'DJ' Haley's recruitment. Haley committed to VCU this week over offers from Drake, Colorado, Wyomming, Penn, and Iowa State with heavy interest from Stanford according to his high school coach.
