3 Reasons Harrison Barnes Won't Come To ISU

hahaha cydkar thanks for reminding me.. as if i cared what was thought of me on here. I didnt think I would be flogged for posting something i wanted to discuss.. all ppl wanted to talk about with harrison was how sweet itd be if he came here...

What's better though, I mean that really depends on the personal feelings of HB which none of us are privy to. I surely could have stayed in state for school, racked up way less debt, got a similar job after graduation, and theoretically set myself up for a better future. But I didn't, I came to ISU and I still believe it was absolutely the right choice. A national championship run and being the big hometown hero would both be amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, who knows which one would really be the right one for him. I agree, it would probably take a miracle for him to both at ISU. But this argument that he's throwing his career away if he comes here is just asinine.

I too am a realist and i think ISU has a chance. Just like everybody else on his list has a chance.
Unless you are talking about cash behind the scenes... I think HB will be rewarded at ISU for his talents just as Craig Brackins is being rewarded for his by getting the ball and and his name at the top of NBA scouting lists.

Your logic appears to be that good players should only go to schools who are known as power house schools in their respective sport. In which case... why be a Cyclone fan if you think we will never get good players? I'm willing to put money on the fact that with HB on the Cyclone's roster... we'll make the Tourney every single year he's with us and I don't like to bet money.

That being said... if our other star players were to bail on the team similar to Wes Johnson... then yeah... maybe we won't make it.

I know Harrison wants to go to a winning team. But I hope he realizes that where ever he goes... he'll make that place a winning team. And I really think that we'll be providing all of the parts to make the Cyclones' a great team for him.

Oh, and yeah, we've had some really, really ****** coaches here then, because I'm struggling to think of a coach that's put a whole ton of superstars into the NBA like you so calmly expect at Iowa State.

1) Brandon Knight is not from Ames, IA and has not been following ISU since he was a little kid.

2) Brandon Knight has not ever listed ISU as one of his options.

3) Brandon Knight has not played pickup games with ISU players during his free time.

I only created this thread to offer a new discussion Barnes but your all right, he does have plenty of reasons to come to ISU. But will you not all agree that McDermott is on a ticking time bomb here? Maybe Harrsion will be the answer.

No, I won't.

NCAA tourney this season. Brackin's return was the key, but reshaping the roster with better athletes is a big help as well.

I agree with you, McD is on a warm seat (not hot seat).

The recruiting is getting alot better apparently.

2012-Staten is suppose to be about as good as HB. We got him so we have a good player in 3 years.

HB might not come here....oh well, at least we tried
