Interesting. How can you give McDermott props for Taylor and turn around and say Boeheim gets no credit for Melo? They were both one and done...were they not?

God forbid someone post a contrarian opinion / belief on this site...they are immediately shouted down. I fail to see why so many of you are so loyal to McDermott when he has clearly driven ISU in reverse from both a talent and a record standpoint during his time here.

Cue the "we have an awesome class coming in this year" banter. Unfortuantely, we seem to hear that every year. I certainly hope it is true this year...because, unfortunately, the big savior this year is a JC guy that has only one year of eligibility. What ever happened to the crowd that continually implored us to give the McDermott "system" time...I guess we can't use that argument when we are recruiting guys that only have one year of eligibility...can we?!

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

"...unfortunately, the big savior this year is a JC guy that has only one year of eligibility."

Gilstrap isn't a savior. The combination of Brackins staying, the new talent arriving, and the current talent improving is the "savior". Don't make things up to support your argument.
