Just Curious if anyone knows what Ivan is doing these days? Is he still in Europe looking to make a comeback to the NBA? I mean come on! The NBA needs Ivan! But really..any idea as to where he is playing now?

Re: The NBA NEEDS Ivan Chiriaev!
Here's what I found from wikipedia:
Chiriaev was a bench player for Dynamo Moscow in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. He then played the 2006-07 season for MyGuide Amsterdam.
I tried to google his name. Nothing in google that is newer than 2007 so I guess he must have quite playing.
in the www.draftexpress.com, someone wrote that he averaged 3-3.5 ppg What happened to Ivan Chiriaev ? - DraftExpress Forums -

Re: The NBA NEEDS Ivan Chiriaev!
He is on a Russian bobsled team... apparantly some guy thought that it would be a good idea to start a bobsled team with former basketball players... something about basketball players having great coordination... They did horrible during their first run at the olympics, and were in 50th place going into the second day. They found their identity that second day, and fnished the course in record time to move up into 5th place overall. On the third day, they were in position to win it all with the pace they were on, but their old sled let them down and they crashed just before the finish... They ended up dead last, but the crowd roared as they walked their broken sled to the finish... Ivan was the driver and leader of the team

He was nearly 350lb and athletic enough to play basketball supposedly so would have made a nice Offensive lineman. Although he was a pretty soft post player so not sure he was cut out for some of the more physical aspects of sports.
