It gets tiresome to see 3 threads about one thing on the front page all the time that I have to wade through.
Also, it isn't my "opinion" if it's a fact. There haven't been 10 favorite movie threads that I could find. The HB thing may be wrong, but I'll search and let you know my results.
EDIT: In my quick search, I found 1 thread about "favorite movies" in the first 20 threads with that result. I found 18/20 "Harrison Barnes" threads in the first page as well. Also, most of those threads had been created within the past 3 weeks for HB. I had five from the past 3 days even.
I get tired of all the OT posts that take up the front page. Sometimes it is 7 out of 10 on the front page. But guess what? I don't open it and than derail the thread just because I don't like it
No they aren't. You are missing my point, which doesn't surprise me.
Some people like the Barnes threads, some don't. That is fine
Some people like OT posts, some dont. That is fine
Some people like all the Hawkeye posts ripping them. Some don't. That is fine
Just don't jump in a thread and say, "Oh great another thread about X," and than go onto say how dumb it is. You are not providing anything of value to the thread and are just derailing it
You're missing my point. Having umpteen threads about the same topic is redundant. I wouldn't care if it was just 1 or 2 threads at a time. The problem is that we end up getting a billion threads about the same damned thing all at once.
Um... talking about him isn't really the problem. The problem is apparently feeling the need to create umpteen threads about the same topic. "What happens if HB commits?" and then "The Barnes effect if he commits to ISU". Seriously, it's the same thing. If it fits in an already existing thread, put in there. Don't create as many threads as you can just to say the same thing 300 other threads have said.
Besides the mental fatigue of "having" to open yet another HB thread, what harm is there? Is CF's bandwidth limited enough that new threads are a scarce resource? In this period of stagnation, will another HB thread remove vital posts?
