Staiger on German A2 Team

Looks like Lucca is doing pretty well on his German National team. He was named MVP of the Four Nations Tournament recently.

Hopefully this gives him confidence heading into the season, and is a sign of things to come.

I don't...I saw this on a couple of Twitter feeds, and did a little searching for a link about it, but didn't find it.

Maybe there's no link because Pollard and McDermott covered it up. They both know that he would have been at the next level without their involvement, so they're keeping this story under wraps with their far-reaching influence.

On a serious note, congrats to Lucca! This could be a really good season for him!

I think what he needs more than anything is confidence.

I hope knowing he can play with the Euros translates to knowing he can play in the Big 12.

First thing IMO is a healthy knee. Which it seems like is better.

I agree that Lucca needs confidence more than anything, and it sure won't hurt to have some healthy knees either. If he can play to his potential, if the newcomers make significant contributions and if the rest of the guys improve year over year, this team could be really, really good.

Lucca could play a HUGE roll for the team next year. With all the athletes coming in who can take it to the hoop, Lucca could be the perfect player to catch the kick out passes for the 3pt shots. Hopefully his knee is healed up and he can move around a little better, because last year he was a borderline defensive liability.
