Well did he or didn't he? I remember it seems like he just woke up one day and said "I'm done" and handed over the reins to his son.

No just giving my opinion like everyone else on this thread. I think Phil will retire and Coach K will take his spot

Mike Krzyzewski appears set to go for more gold. USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo said Tuesday that ''all leads point to Coach K coming back,'' following a report by the Boston Globe that Krzyzewski has agreed to return as U.S. Olympic basketball coach.

That sounds right. It came as a surprise to everybody, maybe even to Pat.

Bob may not be done, but it's been about 17 years since he's won a conference championship and has only been in the mix a few times. That's a lot lower standard that he established early in his career. In his first 22 years at Indiana, he won the Big 10 title half of the time and won 3 national titles.

I hope Coach K keeps going for another 5-10 years. I think he does it the right way...all these years of success and no recruiting violations/NCAA infractions that i'm aware of.

3-4 years, I think. Long enough to cause the program to lose momentum, in the words of the previous poster.

the book "A Season On the Brink" really hurt Knight. A reporter followed him for the entire season with complete access. A lot of people didn't want to play for him after that. Hornecek and Grayer are mentioned in the book with Grayer having something like 40 points in the game that year.
