Bubu named CCL playoffs MVP

From Bubu's performance in the CCL, given he is just our walk-on pg, it looks like ISU may finally have the guards it needs to win in the Big 12.

I wouldn't correlate CCL MVP's into All Big 12 caliber players.

But it is nice to hear that Bubu played well.

I gotta be honest and channel mlpsclone. This means we got a nice walk on. Nothing more.

Good for him, and good for the program. If nothing else, we've got a walk-on who can play unorganized ball and will help the starters get ready for the competition. Hopefully he'll continue to develop and will play in the Big 12.

Well, considering how unorganized and fast-paced and high-scoring the games are, I'm going to read between the lines here and imagine that Bubu must have more athleticism than your usual scrappy walk-on. We can use all the athleticism we can get, especially in the backcourt.

More seriously, I think it shows Bubu has the temperament needed to survive as a walk-on; the kid must love to play. That said, Bubu as a freshman vs Petey as a freshman...who do you pick?

Ive been saying all along that Bubu is a steal for a walk on.

Loved Cam--will miss him coming in as a stopper.

I'm going to keep my expectations low for Bubu, but the one high expectation I have is that whenever he gets in the game, or scores, or when the crowd wants him in the game, a loud and low "BuuuuuuBuuuuuu" chant arises.

I agree.

I also see this as a sign that we are making some progress as a program...last year we had walk-on caliber players with scholarships on the team. The best teams can get scholarship caliber guys to walk-on.
